Big Specs, aka Tim Jones, hails from Llandudno North Wales, where he started taking pictures at the age of 14, but took it up seriously when he went to study Art & Design at Llandrillo College. From there he went on to study a BA hons degree in Fashion Design at John Moores University, Liverpool. Disillusioned with the fashion industry, he took the drastic step of returning to higher education and there focus on his first love, being behind the lens. Following in his idol's footsteps, Derrick Santini, Tim chose to study BA hons in Photography and Digital Imaging at Harrogate College, Yorkshire. He was an award winning photography student gaining acclaim in The Student Northern Design Competition and The Fujifilm Student Photography Award.

Over the past year Tim has produced two books, ‘Graff’ and ‘Where the Boys Don’t Play.’ He has also established himself as a creative Hair Photographer working exclusively on projects with British Hairdresser of the Year Nominee James Langley. He is also known for his Portraiture and Music work producing artwork for album and single covers for Brighton based band ‘The Perils’.
