Personal Statement
I believe I am a determined, creative and result-oriented individual with a strong work ethic. I strongly believe in punctuality and efficiency. In respect to my qualifications I have completed the equivalence of secondary school and high school with above average grades in Iraq. I also have a degree from the Institute of Arts in Kirkuk, Iraq where i received a merit for Electrical Engineering. When I arrived to the UK I completed an Advanced Diploma in Photography from the City Central College in London in 2003.

Photography
Photography is my first passion, for which I have gained a great deal of experience and skills.
Freelance Photographer 2003 - Present
I have taken pictures for countless events and occasions. My Freelance experience has taken me across many countries, including Belgium, Poland, Turkey and the U.K. I was awarded second place in 2006 out of 7 million Londoners, for the London photography diversity competition.
Freelance Digital Technician 2003 - 2009
This position involved all postproduction work for shoots, including digital or film processing, profiling, retouching and providing clients with a finalised product ready for print. It also involves archiving and keeping detailed references and records of all shoots.

Starting with ample experience within catering in Iraq, I was able to transfer and develop these skills in England. I was able to prove myself capable and reliable in a short space of time which helped me move from chef to waiter and finally, manger.
Main duties included: directing general restaurant operations; maintaining current and balanced accounts; and ensuring that a positive dining experience for all guest was maintained.
I managed staff members; conducted business administration, payroll, and budget control. Other daily tasks included: preparing food; ordering merchandise, food and beverages; and ensuring the safety of both employees and customers.

Students were taught the concept of photography, high volume post-production editing and graphic design.
