I was born in the capital of Portugal, Lisbon in 1969. I grew up in Angola and I am currently living in the UK.

Whilst living in Portugal I found my love for photography. This began when I attended a photography course with a friend of mine and found I had an apptitude for taking photos. From then on I kept shooting and learning as much as I could. Learning and shooting is - and always will be - a work in progress.

I have been fortunate to receiving tuition from world renowned photographers such as Steve McCurry, David Alan Harvey, Arthur Meyerson, Joyce Tenneson, Greg Gorman and Sam Abell. This led to me organising a number of photography project workshops in Portgual with Steve McCurry in 2001 and 2002 and David Alan Harvey in 2002. These workshops remain the only times that Steve McCurry and David Alan Harvey have exhibitted in Portugal.

In recent years, I have focussed on teaching in College, University both in one to one settings and with collective groups. This has enabled me to pass on the skills I have learnt over the years.

I work frequently in the areas of fashion and commercial photography, including editorial, events and portrait photography.

I am currently working on a photography project about "Vilarinho da Furna", a sunken village, by a dam, in northern Portugal, that will result in an exhibition and the publication of a book.
