My name is Paul Compton and I have been taking photographs, from very early teens, and am now over 50 so a few years, I have been lucky to travel quite extensively, and always have a camera with me. I have lived all my life on the south coast of England in a place called Fareham, and I still consider it one of the prettiest places I have known, climate is never harsh, though the summers tend to lack a bit of punch.

I cover a diverse field of photography, but enjoy wildlife, architecture, old and new, and of course our beautiful planet the most; as much as we try to kill it.

I now use Nikon camera equipment, boys and toys I think is the expression that covers me, I am in truth quite critical of my efforts, hence I try to get the best equipment I can, and make the best job of what I take.

I received a LRPS accreditation from The Royal Photographic Society, 4 years ago.

I will under take commercial photography, especially engineering and architecture, also some wedding work, and special night photography, 21st birthday type celebrations
