I am not going to go into a long introduction of myself....I want the images I capture to do that for me. My passion lies in taking Live Concert Photography, Special Events, Night Life Photographs, Promotional Band Photographs, Fireworks and Motorcycles. I also love taking aerial shots out of airplane windows. I adore people and that is drawing me into exploring portrait photography. I'd love to work alongside a professional photographer or for a studio or company that feel I have certain qualities worth mentoring as an addition to their team.

I will tell you that I love experimenting with taking photographs in the dark or under obscure lighting conditions without resorting to using flash or a tripod. With live concert photography the lighting is never bright enough and it changes so frequently. I love the excitement of following my instincts...changing settings...angles...toying with the pattern of lights...everything and anything that can be used to produce that one photograph that compels you to stop and look. It is all about capturing the mood of the moment. I want to evoke a personal emotional response that draws you deeper and deeper into the scene. To my surprise, even shots that I thought were too blurred from the action taking place in a low lit atmosphere are now becoming some of the favorites of many because those shots captured the mood , they peeked the imagination and many wrote to say they felt like they were there...right in the center of the action of that moment. When I shoot a scene I want to see that tiny spray of magic sweep across the viewfinder as I try to focus in on that fleeting sliver of light that happens fall across my path at that particular moment. That tiny ray of light is the photographic paintbrush that I use to illuminate the mood of the shot. For me...it is about using what fragments of light I can seize from the darkness to define my own individual style.

I am very grateful to several other talented photographers that need to be mentioned...Bons Eye...Jawny Wroughten and Rick Terpstra-Photography....all who I admire and who have been very generous by providing me with great photographic advice and encouragement.

I've had many of my images used on band websites, CD covers, promotional band posters and also showcased in online periodicals. I feel honored when I see so many people sharing my photos on facebook and myspace as profile pictures or as wall posts.
