I have been a professional photographer for over twenty years. Even back in the late 70's I was selling my nature photographic prints at various art festivals and enjoying having my images purchased to decorate homes and offices. After photographing a wedding for a friend who had no money for a "professional" wedding photographer, I realized I loved the involvement in such joyous family events and started to let my friends know I was available to capture their special celebrations.

After taking a lighting workshop from an internationally renowned photographer, Bobbi Lane, I decided to open my own studio, and it didn't take long before I was a full-time portrait photographer. While family portraits became my niche, I took on what ever came my way and I believe my website, www.PhotographyAsAnArt.net illustrates the many areas of photography that fall within my comfort zone.
