Danielle Yorke knew from an early age that she was destined for a career in the visual arts. After undertaking a digital photography and photo manipulation class during her time at grammar school, her passion for the medium of photography emerged and she decided to pursue her love at a higher level.

From this she went on to study a BDes Hons Art & Design with integrated Foundation Year and continued on to undertake a BA honors degree in Photography at the University of Ulster Belfast. It was here that she began to establish her creative voice and develop both her visual and technical skills.

The freedom and artistry of photography is enticing for Danielle and the satisfaction of a truly visually stunning image drives her passion and fuels her ambition. A photograph captures a moment in time and allows us to hold on to it forever. Memories can fade but a photograph grants the opportunity to restore those significant events in time, it is this quality that captivates Danielle and inspires her work.

Danielle's work is both creative and at times personal, through her art she likes to explore life experiences and attachments but always with a strong visual element. Recently she has based her work on the subject of "home" and the emotions and connections it invokes in all of us.
